中国队在伊万科维奇的带领下踢了5场比赛，2负2平只赢1场。与日本队的情况不同，中国队战平了泰国和新加坡，只在第二次交手时才战胜了新加坡队。在这些比赛中，他们打进7球，丢了12球。
